About us

Jeeva Shanthy Trust

Jeeva Shanthy Trust (JST) originated when a hardworking individual, facing life's challenges, felt a deep sense of responsibility. Encountering a lifeless person on the roadside abandoned and alone, he vowed to fill the void left by departed loved ones. The promise is to ensure no anonymous soul says a final goodbye without the presence of their dear ones. This commitment, held by Jeeva Shanthy Trust, is pledged to endure 'God Willingly' for as long as time permits.

JST as Frontline Workers
JST as Frontline Workers

What we really do?

We offer services rarely found in the field but deeply in hearts.

Burial - Dignity in Death for the Nameless Souls

We are proud that we live up to our words. Yes, Jeeva Shanthy works round the clock to give the nameless dead a decent burial filling the place of their loved ones. While people hurriedly scroll down pictures of the dead avoiding to even look at it, Jeeva Shanthy Trust volunteers handle even highly decomposed corpses with care, shroud them and give them a respectful burial treating them as a fellow human. We are always thankful to the Almighty for choosing us for this job The volunteers of Jeeva Shanthy Trust, took over the responsibility of burying the unclaimed bodies of unidentified accident victims, abandoned old citizens, HIV patients, suicide victims, dead new born babies, and highly decomposed bodies, received after completion of all legal formalities, from morgues, Hospitals, and Municipal bodies

Free Food with Lots of Love

Jeeva Shanthy Trust provides free food to nearly 300 poor people every day at the government hospital and at the adjacent places. We at Jeeva Shanthy Trust feel a sense of satisfaction when we see people love our food. Through our "Anayaa aduppu" program (A community kitchen) we provide free food to over 300 + every day, year-round, from our FSSAI certified kitchen Past 6 years.

Caring for the Abandoned Elders

Jeeva Shanthy Trust family identifies sick abandoned elders in unhappy situations with the help of the service staffs and try to be their attenders to some extend by cleaning, clothing and feeding them. The smile on their wrinkled faces makes our stressed minds refreshed and energise us. JST provides help and support to the terminally ill patients, abandoned in the Government Hospital wards. JST team takes care of the old and infirm patients, many of them in the threshold of death, clean them, change diapers and clothes and provide hope, where there is none.

Medical Help to the Abandoned

2.4 million Indians die of treatable conditions every year. Healthcare is a luxury which inaccessible for the poor. Health cannot be a privilege. Team JEEVA SHANTHY Support them with access to medical help and give them a chance to fight their illness and help destitute patients suffering from mental illness reunite with their families The poor who experience debt, hunger, poverty, and hopelessness are more likely to suffer and cannot afford medical help. This is a vicious cycle. we help these poor patients so that they can get the care and find a way to live a normal life.

Life Saving Ambulance Service

Jeeva Shanthy Trust tries to contribute a drop in the ocean of the lifesaving ambulance service platform serving mainly to the economically poor section of our society. Our boys are by god’s blessings are well-trained to handle a situation that can be traumatic and responsibly transport the patients in a safe and efficient manner

And when the Nature Strikes

The nature when it strikes never discriminates between rich and poor. It leaves every human equally distressed. Jeeva Shanthy Trust has been there for these distressed fellow humans contributing in whatever way we can. We try to give our share to rebuild their lives providing them their basic needs. We follow “start where you are, use what you have, do what you can” and we rise by lifting others.

Ignorance is Always Not Bliss

Crimes happening today are mainly because of the illiteracy, illegality and ignorance. Jeeva Shanthy Trust tries its best to create awareness about various forms of social evils by conducting awareness programs at schools, colleges and through street plays. Educating people about these opens up their mind and make them think logically making them less prone to harmful social practices.

Women Empowerment in the True Sense

As women's empowerment refers to women's ability to make strategic life choices that were previously denied them. We JST WOMEN WARRIORS take leadership to attend to various problems faced by the downtrodden and work to solve it positively We conduct funeral services to the abandoned unknown unclaimed bodies where even some men take a back seat which showcases true women empowerment Mental health has been a growing concern in India, particularly among students. With the increasing pressure to excel academically and socially, many students are struggling to cope with the demands placed on them. As a result, some students turn to substance abuse as a means of coping with their mental health issues. According to the research, only 16 per cent of young people used drugs at least once a week in 2021, but this increased to 23 per cent in 2022 and Over 13,000 student suicide deaths in one year: NCRB Report 2023 We JST WOMAN WARRIORS jump in to action to Conduct events, debates to create awareness about the ill effects of drugs, suicides and other social evils in schools and colleges and spread the good word among our young generation.

Communal Harmony

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. To boost local welfare through communal harmony, JST conducts various inter-religious meetings periodically to promote harmony between communities. Civic awareness programs are conducted at schools, colleges pop-up street-side exhibits.

Giving charity is a bliss...

To truly care for one another, we must love for others what we love for ourselves.  Just remember “Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” (2:274).

Transparent Approach

Every penny you spend holds immeasurable value, as evidenced by the priceless smiles on the faces of the less fortunate and the relief seen on the faces of strangers. Your contribution is not just financial; it's an empathetic investment in the well-being of others.
