Ambulance FC Renewal
For the past several years, Jeeva Shanthy Trust fleet of ambulances has been a quiet lifeline for the poorest residents of Coimbatore and nearby towns.
Our volunteers rush the sick to hospital, transport patients who cannot afford commercial services, and most poignantly provide
dignified hearse support for abandoned or unclaimed bodies.
Today, that lifeline is at risk. Every commercial ambulance in India must pass a periodic Fitness Certificate (FC) inspection
at the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Without a valid FC, the vehicle is legally groundedu2014no exceptions.
- We have six vehicles up for renewal right now.
- Each ambulance needs mechanical repairs, safety upgrades, fresh paintwork, and new tyres before RTO approval.
- The attached estimate for one ambulance (repairs only). With insurance and RTO fees, the cost is nearlyu202f one lakh per vehicle.
